Electrowinning

Electrowinning develops power electronics technology for the base metals industry - with special focus on copper tankhouse projects. Our three concepts are:

• In-situ copper concentration control for electrorefining
• Anodes with integrated PoU power convertors for electrowinning and liberation,
• Flow optimised cells for copper liberation and electrowinning.

Anodes for use with in-tank power electronics with remote control.

We use lightweight titanium MMOA mesh anodes with current feeds which are suitable for driving with our on-tank power electronic point-of-use converters, all remotely controlled. For production or for de-copperising of the electrolyte. 

This system permits R&D testing to be carried out with full-size cathodes (1m x 1m) in real electrolyte in a working cell (tank).
